Identify a plant before you bring it home
Going shopping and want to learn about a plant, see if it is healthy, and how to care for it before you decide to buy? Grove. Identify it, save it to a wish list or a shopping list, and move it into the house when you get it.
Can I identify a plant before I buy it?
You're in a shop. Something looks good. Open Lists at the bottom, tap +, or tap + on Plants and choose Identify a plant. Point the camera at that plant. You get what it is, what it likes and needs, in its own words, then a full care guide. You can edit the guide. Then you decide if it comes home with you.
What if I see one at a friend's house, or out on a walk?
Same thing. Visiting a friend and a plant in their house catches your eye? Out walking and you like one you pass? Identify it. Learn what it is and what it needs. If you want it later, save it to a list.
What do I get back after I identify it?
You get what it is. You get what it likes and needs, said in the plant's own words. Then a full care guide you can edit. A name, a voice, and a plan you can change, all from that one look.
Can I save it for later?
Yes. Save it to Someday, Front porch, a shopping list, a wish list, or a list you name. Lists is the tab at the bottom. The plant stays on that list until you move it into the house.
Can I check if it is healthy before I buy?
Yes. Run a health check from up to three photos. The report stays on that plant so you can open it again. Share or copy the care plan or the health report as full text, with the photo. Send it in Messages, Mail, or WhatsApp.
What happens when I finally get that plant?
Move it into the household. The photo comes with it. A name is suggested. Your rooms are offered. The care plan is already written, so you do not identify it again. Until you move it in, it stays off the household total and off the badges.
